Paving & Patio Quantity Calculator

Estimate pavers, full packs and an optional loose base layer from your patio dimensions and selected product sizes.

ONZKO / PLANNING TOOLS

Measure. Plan. Build with confidence.

Use your measurements and your supplier’s product specifications. Quantities are estimates, not a quote or installation design.

Your space

Example face dimensions from a commercial NZ paving supplier, reviewed September 2026. Enter your supplier’s pack quantity, joint width and your cutting allowance. These examples do not specify pavement construction or confirm ONZKO stock.

Enter custom paver dimensions or select a reference size. Confirm the pack quantity with your supplier; enter 1 if buying individual pavers. Choose your own joint width and cutting allowance. For irregular spaces, calculate separate rectangles without overlaps.

Plan the pattern as well as the area

Measure the paved footprint and subtract uncovered spaces. Enter actual paver dimensions, joint width and the number of pavers per pack. Add a cutting allowance suitable for your layout.

A 10 m × 10 m area with 500 × 500 mm pavers, zero joints and zero extra allowance gives 400 pavers. At 12 per pack, that rounds to 34 packs, or 408 pavers. Real patterns and joints need their own inputs.

Is this an exact installation take-off?

No. The coverage formula includes the joint module but does not lay out each boundary cut. Borders, steps, diagonal patterns, herringbone and mixed-size packs need a specific take-off. Base construction and drainage must follow your project specification.
